Two owner checks are worth making and both are safe. Keep the air intake above the door and the vent below it genuinely clear, which on a tight cabinet run means confirming that no trim, scribe or stored tray has crept across either of them. And empty the cavity before a clean begins, racks, rack guides and broiler pan included, rather than leaving them in to discolour.
One more thing worth knowing in the older houses up here. The planning documents warn that an oven’s performance suffers when the supply sits below 240 volts, and a complaint of slow heat is far more often that than a failing element.

Should I avoid running a clean cycle in summer?
There is no rule against it, but the hour matters. Clean is the longest and hottest thing the cavity ever does, and it ends by shedding all of that heat into the room. Running one in the morning gives the cooling side of the appliance cooler air to work with than a cycle started mid-afternoon.
The fan runs for a long time after cooking. Is that a fault?
